Better Men Scholarship
The Beta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity is offering $1,000 Better Men Scholarships to outstanding freshman males entering the Ohio State University at either the Columbus campus or branch campus next year. Our aim is to recognize and reward men who excel in leadership, extracurricular activity, and scholastic achievement, and share a common interest in agriculture. If one of your students shares these common interests in agriculture, including one or more of the following sectors: professional agriculture, being from a family farm, having participated in 4-H or FFA, or being merely interested in the vast food and fiber industries, we encourage them to apply for the “Better Men Scholarship.”
To qualify, applicants must be attending the Ohio State University at either the Columbus campus or a branch campus in the fall of 2025 and complete and return the enclosed application, along with a copy of their official high school transcript by May 15, 2025.(Postmark date) to:

National ΑΓΡ Educational Foundation Scholarships
The Educational Foundation of Alpha Gamma Rho Nationals offers scholarships and young professional opportunities annually to collegiate members. The eligibility criteria for each differ but are all based on the pursuit of excellence in scholarship and leadership, as well as contributions to community and Fraternity.
How To Apply: Collegiate members send one application for all Educational Foundation scholarships. The young professional opportunities, Agriculture and Rural Policy Internship and Ted A. Priebe Excellence in Agricultural Marketing Communications Scholarship, both require separate applications available in the respective description. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
AGR Excellence Scholarship $1,000
Up to four scholarships will be awarded to the individuals that excel in scholarship, leadership, citizenship, activities, and fraternal involvement. All undergraduates are eligible to apply.
Bill Sallee Scholarship $1,000
Member who has financial need and exhibits traits of leadership and citizenship like Bill Sallee, including individual endeavor, resourcefulness, aggressive effort, and a balanced lifestyle. Given to students of Pi Chapter, Oklahoma State University.
Dale Runnion Scholarship $250
A scholarship will be presented to a current AGR undergraduate who plans to complete a college course to pursue a career in Agri-Marketing, journalism, advertising, or public relations. This is not an academic scholarship. Financial need
will not be a determinant in the selection process. The completion or plans to complete a course in livestock judging or evaluation, campus and/or community leadership and active participation in journalistic activities receives strong consideration.
Gene Swackhamer Ag Economics/Ag Business Scholarship $1,000
A scholarship will be presented annually to an AGR undergraduate who achieves elevated levels of excellence and is pursuing a major in agricultural economics, agribusiness, resource management or a closely related field of study.
Harold Olson Scholarship $500
Alpha Gamma Rho undergraduate who has achieved elevated levels of excellence in scholarship. leadership, citizenship, brotherhood, activities, and service.
J. Wayne Rehn Scholarship $1,000
Sophomore or junior member of Alpha Gamma Rho who is majoring in pre-veterinary or in animal science, living in the Fraternity house, and agrees to return to college for his ensuing year, live in the chapter house, and continue to pursue his major with a high GPA. First preference given to students of Alpha Chapter, University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign.
Kirby Barrick Agricultural Education Scholarship $1,000
This fund provides one scholarship to a male student who plans to study Agricultural Education at a college with an AGR chapter with the intent to teach after graduation. Payment of the scholarship is made once the student enrolls in Agricultural Education and is initiated into the local AGR chapter.
Lindley Finch Memorial Scholarship $1,000
The Foundation will grant one scholarship to an undergraduate who truly has financial need and exhibits leadership and citizenship traits like those of Lindley Finch, including endeavor, resourcefulness, aggressive effort, and a balanced lifestyle. First preference given to students of Eta Chapter, Iowa State University.
Ole Meland Dairy Scholarship $500
Ole Meland has provided a scholarship to be presented annually to one AGR undergraduate who achieves elevated levels of excellence and is pursuing a major in,
among others, dairy science, dairy husbandry, or animal science with a dairy option or emphasis. First preference given to students of Chi Chapter, Cal Poly.
Robert L. Oehrtman Scholarship $1,000
The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student at their university and be a current brother of AGR, who has leadership positions in their community, academics, or religious affiliations. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Undergraduate Achievement Award $1,000
Two scholarships are presented to outstanding undergraduates who excel in all areas of involvement.

Allan Johnson & Sara Wyant Agriculture and Rural Policy Internship $5,000*
Established with the intent to annually award $5,000 for a housing stipend* and offer an internship opportunity in Washington, D.C., the Allan Johnson & Sara Wyant Agriculture Rural Policy Internship is designated for a sophomore or junior member

Ted. A. Priebe Excellence in Agricultural Marketing Communications Scholarship $1,500
Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded annually. One scholarship designated for an Alpha Gamma Rho member and the second scholarship designated for a female who is a member of Sigma Alpha Sorority, AFA (Agriculture Future of America), ACT (National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow), or collegiate NAMA (National Agri-Marketing Association). College of Food Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Scholarships
The Ohio State University’s CFAES offers over $3.0 in yearly scholarships from the college and departments within the college (Wooster and Columbus campuses).
Any current student wishing to be considered for a college scholarship for 2024-2025 must complete the online college scholarship application between October 1, 2025 to August 1, 2025 in order to be considered. Please note: Priority consideration is given to students who submit the scholarship application by February 15, 2025. Applications submitted after this date are considered if funding is available. Current students receiving scholarships from CFAES must reapply to be eligible. Selection will be conducted spring semester. Generally, the criteria for these scholarships include a declared major in the college. Those who are selected to receive a College and/or Department scholarship will be notified via mail in June 2025. Please note we will only notify students who have been selected as a scholarship recipient.

- Alpha Gamma Rho Scholarships
- RALPH L. BAZLER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP. Income provides a scholarship for a student best exemplifying academic excellence and potential contribution to agriculture; with first preference to a junior and then a sophomore member of Beta Chapter, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, who is enrolled in a four-year curriculum in agriculture.
- THE ALPHA GAMMA RHO SCHOLARSHIP. Income used to provide at least two non-renewable scholarships to undergraduate students who are attending the Columbus campus who are members of Alpha Gamma Rho, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and belong to at least one club or organization.
- Alpha Gamma Rho Study Abroad Scholarship. Supports students who are members of Alpha Gamma Rho and pursuing a study abroad experience.
Ohio State Interfraternity Council (IFC) Scholarship
IFC awards a scholarship each semester to a student who is active in an IFC chapter on The Ohio State Univerity campus. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students and be in good standing within their chapter. The application deadline is generally the middle of the semester. Ag Related Scholarships
Udall Scholarship Info Session
This program offers a scholarship of up to $7,000 to college sophomores and juniors for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to the environment or Native American nations. In addition to the scholarship funds, awardees attend a 5-day Udall orientation with other scholars, elected officials, and environmental and tribal leaders in August 2025 in Tucson, Arizona and gain lifelong access to a network of environmental professionals and Native American health and tribal policy professionals through the Udall alumni listserv.
On Thursday, November 21 at 2-3 pm, the Undergraduate Fellowship Office is holding an information session for the Udall Scholarship for undergraduate students in their sophomore and junior year. We’ll discuss the objectives of the award, eligibility requirements, and application components. Participants will also engage in guided brainstorming processes to generate ideas for their application essays. Please register on Zoom here.

Agriculture Scholarship Centre is now accepting applications for the Spring 2025
Agriculture Scholarship Centre is now accepting applications for the Spring 2025 semester from current undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Agricultural Business/Finance/Economics and committed to pursuing a career in the grain industry in any of the following fields:
· grain merchandising
· agricultural business
· agricultural economics
· grain production (farming)
· grain elevator operations
· grain brokerage
· grain accounting
· agriculture-based lending
Our scholarships are in the amount of $2,500.00 per academic semester. The application deadline is November 29, 2024.

Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars Program
For the ninth year, Farm Credit Mid-America is hosting the Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars program. This initiative awards $5,000 in scholarship support over a two-year period and includes leadership development

Ohio Chapter International Society of Arboriculture Scholarships
The purpose of the Ohio Chapter ISA Scholarship Program is to promote professional arboriculture in Ohio. The Chapter may award up to five $500 Professional Development Scholarships and two $1,000 Traditional Student Scholarships.
If you are currently enrolled in a post-secondary academic institution or plan on taking your career to the next level with a certification or qualification, we encourage you to apply.

Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation Scholarships
Several college scholarships are available to beef industry youth through the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation. These scholarships are administered through the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation in conjunction with several other organizations and individuals.
Current college students enrolled in a two or four-year college or university studying a beef or agricultural related field are welcome to apply. Scholarship recipients will be awarded at the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association’s (OCA) Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet in February.

Mid America CropLife Association – Young Leader Scholarship Program 2025 – The Ohio State University
The Mid America CropLife Association is pleased to announce the continuation of the Young Leader Scholarship Program (YLSP). MACA is an association made up of basic manufacturers, distributors/formulators and allied industry from the crop protection industry.
Benefits for the students:
· Networking and interaction with professionals in the agriculture field in person and virtually.
· A monetary scholarship – $2,000.

Sunrise Cooperative
The Sunrise Cooperative $1,000 College Scholarships are one year in length and are open to all children and grandchildren of Sunrise Cooperative common stockholders, or all children and grandchildren of active full-time Sunrise Cooperative employees who are enrolling or are currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year accredited college program. The student must be enrolled for the entirety of the year to receive the full $1,000 scholarship. The application timeframe for the 2024 Sunrise Scholarship will open in December through February 14, 2025.
Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Tom Bostic Scholarship Application
Patrons and families of employees are eligible. Qualifying majors: Agriculture Crop and Soil, Agriculture Science, Agriculture Technology and Management, Large Animal Science and Ag-related fields High school seniors through college are eligible. Scholarship available is $2,000. A grade point average of 2.75 or higher must be maintained. Repeat winners are eligible up to two years. Application, essay, and reference letters must be submitted together in one packet and can be sent to humanresources@centralohfarm.com
Deadline to apply is February 28, 2025. No late submissions will be considered.

Agriculture Scholarship Centre for Basis Trading Education, Inc., is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2025-2026 Academic Year from current undergraduate or graduate students committed to pursuing a career in the grain industry in any of the following fields:

Targeting Excellence
Targeting Excellence scholarships will be awarded by a scholarship committee comprised of the national board of directors and regional leaders involved in food animal production. Scholarships will reflect the interest of annual contributors and the participants of the fund-raising events. Scholarships will be awarded to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an agricultural curriculum at an institution that offers degrees in agriculture. Preference will always be given to applicants with a desire to work in some aspect of food animal production. Due March 10th 2025 at 11:59 pm.
