Brothers,
My name is Ryan Flax pin #1784, I am your 2025 Noble Ruler of Alpha Gamma Rho Beta Chapter. I’m from South Charleston, Ohio and am in the second semester of my junior year pursuing my bachelor’s degree in animal sciences at The Ohio State University. After graduation I aim to pursue a career in cattle reproduction and genetics. I was initiated in the first class of 2023 and have been committed to the success of this chapter from that point on. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to lead this chapter as we strive for new heights in growth and in our mission.
I come from a family and community full of Beta chapter alumni. I grew up raising cattle and hogs in FFA and 4-H and am an FFA American Degree recipient. In my time at Ohio State University, I’ve been involved in the Mount Leadership Society scholars’ program which focuses on building diversified leadership and community service. I completed a year of service through this program and gradated at the end of the sophomore year. I’m also involved in the Saddle and Sirloin club and work as an undergraduate research assistant in the university’s livestock reproduction lab. I previously served as the Beta chapter’s Vice Noble Ruler of Alumni Relations in 2024.
We’ve started the year with momentous successes in recruitment and chapter involvement. These successes are reflective of the hard work of all our members and continued appeal of our organization over 100 years after its conception. We continue to navigate the ever-changing climate of agriculture at Ohio State and strive to adapt to new challenges and opportunities. While it has always been competitive between other Greek organizations on campus, I am confident as ever that we will continue to succeed and grow year after year. We continue maintain our position as the largest agricultural fraternity at Ohio State and show no signs of complacency.
In the last year, we continued the tradition of our annual Holiday Classic Cattle Show at the Ohio State Expo Center and renewed our AGR Hog Show at the Madison County Fairgrounds. We are extremely grateful for our dedicated alumni that make these philanthropic events possible, and we are intent on expanding these endeavors as we grow.
I am extremely thankful for all the current brothers and alumni that have propelled this chapter into a new era of success and have supported me in this opportunity to lead our exceptional chapter. There is no doubt in my mind that Beta chapter is in an outstanding place but there are even greater things to come. We are striving for university and national recognition by curating the best environment for our members to succeed as we strive to fulfill our purpose to Make Better Men.
Fraternally,
Ryan Flax 1784
Noble Ruler
